Ushes are expected to arrive 1 hour prior to curtain in the Carver Center Space. Mentors need to arrive 1:15 minutes prior to curtain. Those that need to cancel or are sick are required to call the Civic to notify of your absence. Call Mike Artis if you know in advance that will not be able to make your shift at 269-548-3031. If it is the day of your scheduled usher shift please call 269-343-1313 and leave a message for the front of house to let them know of your absence.
Ushers are expected to enter through the doors located to the right of the car underpass. When entering please make sure to sign in for your position and fill out the appropriate paperwork if it is required next to your name.
Ushers please wear closed toed shoes and business casual attire. No shorts or tee shirts with logos on them. No specific colors are required any longer for attire.
Those wishing to work concessions need to be over the age of 18 years of age.
Parking is allowed in any of the parking lots associate with the Civic. Onstreet parking is also allowed. Parking in business or organization lots around the Civic is parking at your own risk.

After 5pm please call 269-343-1313 to notify the box office that you will not be able to attend. Those with multiple absences without notification (3 or more) will need to call the Director of Volunteers to schedule usher shifts for upcoming show.

The Seussification of A Midsummer Night's Dream Audition Sign Up

Audition Dates; February 9 and 10, 2025 at 4:30pm
Callback Date: February 12, 2025, at 4:30pm (if needed)
Ages: 9 years old to a senior in high school
Those wishing to audition for an acting part of be a member of the crew need to sign up for one day of auditions. Those wishing to be only on crew will complete the paperwork, take a tour of the crew workspaces and meet with the crew supervisors and then turn in paperwork and will be excused from the auditions after completing all of the paperwork and handing it in.
Those wishing to audition for acting parts will need to stay after the tour is complete and go through readings with the directing team.
Audition paperwork and packets will be sent out to those signed up for the audition. Paperwork and audition packets will also be available prior to the auditions. Please arrive 10-15 minutes before the auditions to get paperwork checked over, use the restroom and get a drink.
Parents are encouraged to stay through the first 30 minutes or so of the audition to hear more about the process and the show and then can remain in one our waiting areas or leave and come back to pick up their auditionee at a designated release time (usually around 7:30pm)

Those auditioning for the show will need to come with one of the audition songs from the packet prepared, be ready to dance and possibly read from the script. Please wear clothing that is suitable to dance in. Paperwork for the auditions will be supplied within a few days after the audition workshop is completed.
Those auditioning should enter through the business doors of the Civic Auditorium at the front of the building. Parking is available on the street for free after 5pm and in the parking lot south of the Civic on the corner of Lovell and Park St. after 6pm.
